FARMER VETERAN COALITION
The mission of the Farmer Veteran Coalition is to mobilize veterans to feed America. We believe that veterans possess the unique skills and character needed to strengthen rural communities and create sustainable food systems for all.

NATIONAL FARMERS UNION
National Farmers Union believes that good opportunities in production agriculture are the foundation of strong farm and ranch families, and strong farm and ranch families are the basis for thriving rural communities. Vibrant rural communities, in turn, are vital to the health, security and economic well-being of our entire national economy.

PA WOMEN AGRICULTURAL NETWORK
The primary purposes of PA-WAgN are to encourage and support women in agriculture. The network is comprised of women farmers, agricultural professionals, agricultural educators, and informed consumers committed to supporting and providing educational opportunities to women working in agriculture and related businesses.
PA-WAgN offers on-farm education, hands-on workshop, conferences, networking opportunities, mentoring, and online information sharing tools.

WOMEN FOOD & AG NETWORK
WFAN is a nationwide community of women in sustainable agriculture. Their mission is to link and empower women to build food systems and communities that are healthy, just, sustainable, and that promote environmental integrity.

MOSES RURAL WOMEN'S PROJECT
Serving the Mid-West, supports women farmers and food-based ecopreneurs, providing resources, networking and collaborative opportunities to champion new business start-ups that support food system change.

New farmers are growing traditional crops and new varieties, organic produce and heirloom products. They are part of row-crop farms - employing cutting-edge technology and equipment - and community supported agriculture programs - delivering fresh products directly to their neighbors. They are raising beef, pork, dairy cattle, poultry, and fish on operations of every size. And as the average age of farmers and ranchers in America continues to rise, the question of how we build our bench in agriculture becomes ever more important.

Committed to providing high value information and technical assistance to farmers, ranchers, Extension agents, educators, and others involved in sustainable agriculture in the United States.

VETERAN FARM PROJECT
The Veteran Farm Project (VFP) provides Veterans short workshops on sustainable farming practices and hands-on gardening and farming experience. This collaboration between La Montanita Co-op, Downtown Action Team, the VA, the NM Department of Agriculture, and Holistic Management International provides the initial training for Veterans to start or work at sustainable agriculture businesses and it provides a theraputic garden space for veterans to learn to grow fresh produce.

RAFI-USA Rural Advancement Foundation Intl
The Rural Advancement Foundation International-USA’s mission is to cultivate markets, policies, and communities that sustain thriving, socially just, and environmentally sound family farms. RAFI works nationally and internationally, focusing on North Carolina and the southeastern United States.

HOMEGROWN BY HEROES/KENTUCKY PROUD
The Homegrown By Heroes marketing initiative will afford farmers and/or agricultural producers located within the Commonwealth of Kentucky and who have served in any of the branches of the United States Military (U.S. Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, Navy and Coast Guard) the ability to use the Homegrown By Heroes logo on their agribusiness signage and/or agriculture products.

NOFA
The Northeast Organic Farming Association is a non-profit organization of over 5,000 farmers, gardeners, landscape professionals and consumers working to promote healthy food, organic farming practices and a cleaner environment.
NOFA has chapters in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont.

THE FARM SCHOOL FOR WOMEN
NC WOLAN is a grassroots organization, building on the experience and know-how from veteran female farmers willing to share their stories, their successes and failures, with women just beginning their careers in Agriculture.

GEORGIA ORGANICS Farmer to Farmer educational videos
Short videos that are technical in nature and specific to organic farming in Georgia. The videos were produced for Georgia Organics by Anthony-Masterson and made possible with grant funds from the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture.

ANNIE'S PROJECT
Annie's Project has been an educational program dedicated to strengthening women's roles in the modern farm enterprise for ten years.

ECOLOGICAL FARMING ASSOCIATION
The Ecological Farming Association nurtures healthy and just farms, food systems, communities and environment by bringing people together for education, alliance building and advocacy.

Working with new farmers to build successful businesses,find farmland, and excel in the field.

LSP
The Land Stewardship Project (LSP) is a private, nonprofit organization founded in 1982 to foster an ethic of stewardship for farmland, to promote sustainable agriculture and to develop sustainable communities.

FEED IOWA FIRST
Sonia Kendrick's non-profit (featured in Terra Firma) offers opportunities in Cedar Rapids, IA to earn a living wage while gaining valuable farm management experience.
